Professional & Staff Services

  • Basic Professional Fee’s
    $1,225.00

    Professional consultation with licensed personnel, which may include but is not limited to, expert advice on options to meet your needs, including essential services relating to disposition, drafting notices, planning, scheduling of services and advising regarding possible government benefits. Bereavement resource material which includes “Genesis” (a personal guide through grief booklet). A basic professional fee is payable whenever we provide services to you. (Package E $995)

  • Co-Ordinating Rites & Ceremonies
    $395.00

    Co-ordination of all rites and ceremonies, before, during and after they have been provided, including services and supplies provided by us, as well as those provided by third party suppliers, which may include but not limited to the following: cemeteries (grave openings), newspapers (insertion of death notice) and ordering flowers.

  • Documentation – permits, forms, etc.
    $500.00

    Completion and filing of all documents necessary to carry out the services and supplies requested, including, but not limited to, death registration, burial permit, coroner’s certificate for cremation, and documentation necessary to ship the body out of the country. As part of this service, we will provide you with 15 proof of death certificates; such certificates are usually accepted by most estate settlement purposes, but sometimes a provincial Death Certificate will be necessary and is available from the Office of the Registrar General.

  • Basic Preparation of Remains (requires Basic Facilities)
    $250.00

    The preparation of the body for placement into the casket, including bathing, dressing and the setting of facial features for private family viewing.

  • Embalming of Remains
    $595.00

    Embalming is the process of replacing blood and bodily fluids with chemical preservatives. It is a process of sanitation, restoration and temporary preservation. Embalming is not legally required, but may be recommended to preserve the body between the time of death and the visitation or disposition of the deceased. Our professional funeral directors will make a recommendation based on the condition of the body and expected service needs.

  • Staff Services for Visitation
    $640.00

    Staff to co-ordinate and oversee the visitation (informal gathering) at our premises for a period up to 4 hours. ($150 per hour) (Package B – $75 per hour)

    If the visitation takes place at an offsite location, and equipment charge (see other available services and equipment) and additional staff services charges will apply ($75 per hour/per staff member), including travel time and se up.

  • Additional Staff Services for Visitation
    $160.00

    Staff to co-ordinate and oversee the visitation (informal gathering) for a period which exceeds the basic period selected per hour.

  • Staff Services for Ceremony
    $500.00

    Staff to coordinate and oversee the ceremony or memorial at our premises.

    Off-Site Charge – $700.00 (for 3 hours, $100 per each additional hour)

  • Staff Services for Reception
    $200.00

    Reception hostess to coordinate and oversee the reception in our reception centre, Trafalgar Room. (Package C – $200.00)

Transport Remains (Initial/Final Transfer of Remains)

  • Initial Transfer of the remains
    $350.00

    The initial transfer of remains is the transfer from the place of death to our premises

  • Final transfer of remains
    $200.00

    The final transfer of remains is the transfer from our premises to the crematorium for cremation or mortuary for burial to take place at a later date.

Facility Charges

  • Basic Facilities
    $400.00

    Use of our general and common areas, parking lot, public washrooms, cloakrooms, heating, lighting and maintenance and facilities used to prepare, embalm and/or shelter the body; this charge applies whenever the body in our facility for any purpose.

  • Facilities for Visitation (requires Staff Services for Visitation)
    $640.00

    Designated facilities used for visitation for up to 4 hours (one afternoon and evening) $150.00 per hour (Package B – $75 per hour)

  • Facilities for Ceremony (requires Staff Services for Ceremony)
    $500.00

    Designated facilities at our Funeral Home used for the ceremony or memorial service.

  • Reception Facilities (requires Staff Services for Reception)
    $450.00

    Use of facilities for a reception (Trafalgar Room) following the ceremony or memorial service, which includes the setup of the facilities, the use of the facilities, amenities and supplies (coffee, tea and juice).

  • Audio / Visual

    Use of our Audio / Visual components to display a video tribute in our funeral establishment when the video tribute has not been produced by the funeral home.

  • Catering / Food for Reception

  • Cemetery Graveside Services
    $495.00

    Professional consultation with licensed personnel to coordinate the services and disbursements relating to the disposition of the cremated remains or casket burial and licensed personnel to oversee the cemetery graveside service.

  • Death Certificate
    $100.00

    A fee to pick up a death certificate outside of Halton Hills

  • Removal of Pacemaker or Implant
    $100.00

    The removal of a pacemaker or implant will be carried out by a licensed professional

  • Professional Restorative Procedures
    $100.00/hour

    In some circumstances, additional restorative efforts beyond those captured in the standard embalming procedure are necessary to enhance the appearance of the deceased. In such cases, the funeral director will discuss the available options and their cost. Professional restorative procedures will be charged $100.00 per hour (Minimum Charge – $100.00)

  • Grave Dressing
    $500.00

    Deliver, set up and use of grass and lowering device for a ceremony at a Cemetery.

  • Equipment for Visitation at a Remote Location
    $400.00

    Delivery, set up, take down and use of equipment necessary for visitation or ceremony at a location other than the funeral establishment.

  • Cremation – Storage Fee’s
    $75.00/month

    The storage fee for the funeral home to store the cremated remains and maintain a monthly log of the cremated remains held in possession by the funeral home.

  • Professional Pallbearers
    $100.00 minimum

    In some circumstances, pallbearers may be required to assist with the carrying of the casket at the funeral home chapel, cemetery, or mortuary.

Cash Disbursements

  • Cremation Fee
    $625.00

    This is an amount paid to the crematorium for cremation, this amount is set by the crematorium.

    An additional fee for a cremation to take place in less than 24 hours, is $105.00.

  • Opening / Closing Fee or Scattering Fee
    $300.00 – $1,200.00

    This is an amount paid to the cemetery for the opening & closing of the grave, niche, or crypt or scattering of the cremated remains. This amount is set by the cemetery and may vary.

  • Coroner’s Fee
    $75.00

    This is a fee charged by the coroner for issuing a certificate that allows cremation to take place. The fee is set by the Chief Coroner for Ontario.

  • Clergy Honorarium
    $300.00 – $400.00

    This is an amount paid to the clergy for their services. In some cases the amount is set by the clergy, in others, it is an amount to be determined by you.

  • Newspaper or Radio Notices
    $200.00 – $300.00 per edition

    These are charges for death notices placed in newspapers or radio or other media outlets (Georgetown Independent)

  • Municipal Death Registration Fee
    local $27.00, out of town $59.00

     This is a fee charged by the local municipality to register the death. The fee is set by the municipality and may vary.

  • Organist Honorarium
    $125.00 – $150.00

    This is an amount paid to the organist for their services. In some cases the amount is set by the organist, in others, it is an amount to be determined by you.

  • Piper Honorarium
    $200.00 – $300.00

    This is an amount paid to the piper for their services. In some cases, the amount is set by the piper, in others, it is an amount to be determined by you.

  • Soloist Honorarium
    $150.00 – $200.00

    This is an amount paid to the soloist for their services. In some cases, the amount is set by the piper, in others, it is an amount to be determined by you.

  • Winter Storage Fee
    $175.00

    This is an amount paid to the mortuary for their services, this amount is set by the mortuary. 

  • Church Custodian Honorarium
    $75.00 – $125.00

    This is an amount paid to the custodian for their services, this amount is set by the church. 

  • Monument Inscription
    $325.00

    Base inscription consisting of 10 letters, (each additional letter, $10.00) 

  • Flowers

    Various floral arrangements are available to be selected from a catalogue provided by local florists. The cost of the floral arrangements, ordered on behalf of the family, is determined by the florist.
